Mathieu Gallois graduated from the Institute of the Arts, Australian National University in 1996. He has exhibited both nationally and internationally, participating in over 45 exhibitions. Gallois has received major Grants from the Australia Council in 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2009. Gallois has been selected for numerous national art awards, receiving high commendations and popular choice awards for his entries. In 2002 he exhibited at the Australian Embassy Paris, France and received a Samstag Scholarship which enabled him to complete a Masters Degree at Goldsmiths College in London UK in 2003. In 2004 Gallois’ work was reviewed in Monument magazine by Jeff Gibson. In 2005 Gallois had a survey exhibition of his work at UTS gallery and exhibited at Shermans Gallery. Gallois completed a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture at the University Technology Sydney in 2007, and launched the art / architecture project the Reincarnted McMansion Project on ABC Radio National’s by Design program in 2008.
